In central part of London protesters taking part in an annual "Camp for Climate Action" gathered.
Participants are assembling at six locations all the way through the capital, together at the Bank of England. They have told to divide into 10 groups, some on foot, some on bicycles, each identified by a different color. They have told to buy a zone one to six travel cards.
Organizers plan to form a summer festival impression with wind turbines, vegetarian canteens, organic toilets and a radio studio powered by solar panels.
In previous years, the camp has set up near the Kingsnorth power station in Kent to protest alongside a projected coal-fired plant, and at Heathrow Airport.
In front of the camp-taking place, Scotland Yard has held a series of talks with environmental activists, as fraction of an overhaul of policing tactics after the G20 summit. However, they have criticized the organizers of the protest for keeping the camp's location secret, which means residents cannot warn about any potential disruption.
The force is preparing to use a mobile police location, helicopter-mounted loudhailers and its Twitter account to improve links with protesters.
